1. Preparing the Cords and Initial Setup
"For this demonstration, we will be using three different colors to help you learn the braid. Secure all three strands on a hook. Find the middle cord. This cord must remain stationary. You will have a side A and a side B. Side A will always be on the left and side B always on the right.
2. Making the First Braid
Side B will fold over the center. Side A will fold under the center. Take side A under center and pull up through the loop you've created with side B. Take side B over center and pull down through the loop you've created with side A. Pull to tighten. Remember, the left side is side A and the right side is side B.
3. Alternating the Braid
Now we will alternate which side goes over and which side goes under. Side B will fold under the center and side A will fold over the center. Take side A over center and pull down through the loop you've created with side B. Take side B under center and pull up through the loop you've created with side A.
4. Repeating and Customizing the Macrame Braid
Repeat all the steps, alternating over and under for each side. You can use any combination of colors, sizes and products with macrame, each producing a different and unique look."
