1. Making a 3-Ply Braid with Leather Cord
Taking three strands of leather cording, we will secure them on a hook. We're going to name them strand A, B and C. To begin braids, place strand A over strand B. Place strand C over strand A and B over C. Repeat until desired amount is braided.
2. Making a 6-Ply Braid with Leather Cord
Take six strands of leather cording and secure them on a hook. You may start weaving from either the left or the right-hand side, but always from the outside strand. Always start from the same side each time, keeping each cord in order.
3. Weaving and tightening the 6-Ply Braid
Weave the outside cord over and under until you come to the end. Make sure braid is tight after every rotation.
